Trustee in Zone 5 Resigns, Board Declares Vacancy

Rupert, Idaho, August 19, 2009: At the regular monthly meeting of the Minidoka Board of Trustees, a letter of resignation from Kurt Harman, the Trustee from Zone 5, was presented to the board. Trustee Harman cited personal reasons in the letter announcing his decision to resign from the board. The remaining trustees voted to express their gratitude to Mr. Harman for his excellent service and commented that he has been an asset to the board and that he will be missed; however, they respect his reasons and his decision to resign.

Pursuant to Idaho Code 33-504, a declaration of vacancy has been made and the board will be accepting applications for appointment to the Board of Trustees from any interested person(s) until 5 pm on September 18, 2009. Applications may be picked up at the Central Office or by downloading the document from the district website at www.minidokaschools.org. Following the application deadline, the board will screen the applicants and narrow it down to a group of finalists to interview for appointment.
