Senior Projects

Beginning with the graduates of 2013, a senior project will be required for graduation.
There is a Senior Project Packet available as a link on this (MHS) website.

Students will be given the opportunity in prior grades to prepare for the project.

As a freshman, the students will complete and present a minor project in their History A class
and a major project and presentation in their History B class.

As a junior they create and present a project in their History class. In their English 11 A class, students
research a career, write a 750 word essay and prepare and present a PowerPoint based on the essay.
This could be the basis for the proposal for their senior project. Students could also use this information
to create the flyer.

In the spring of their junior year the student will choose a career from the Idaho Career Pathways
to pursue and will write a proposal for his or her project. The student will need a mentor for the project.
A list of possible mentors will be available for students.

The student will then follow the timeline in order to be prepared to present the Senior Project.

The Senior Project involves a proposal, a flyer, a process paper, a project, portfolio-including journal entries, and a presentation.

The Senior Projects will be presented to a panel in the spring of the student’s senior year.

If you have questions, please read the Senior Project Packet. If, after reading the packet, you still have
questions, please contact a member of the Project committee.
