BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY CAMP 
Applicant must have participated within the last 24 months as a seasonal or migrant farm worker participated in a Chapter I Migrant education Program or be eligible to participate.  Applicant must also have a high school diploma or GED, be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident of the U.S. and must desire a four-year academic degree or a two-year vocational-technical degree in preparation for a four-year academic or technical degree. 

 

THE HAIR ACADEMY
Paul Mitchell partner school is offering scholarships for their academy in Rexburg. Applications are in the counseling center. Scholarship is based on first come first served.

ALERT MAGAZINE
$500 Scholarship for seniors who have a GPA of 2.5 or better and are planning on attending a college after graduation. Write an essay (650 -­ 800 words, double spaced) about a personal encounter you or someone you know has had with drug and/or alcohol abuse, how it was dealt with, what you learned from it, and what was right or wrong (in your opinion) about the way the incident or problem was handled. No application is required. See details in the counseling center.
 

SUSSLE
Applicants contribute knowledge for a chance to win a $1,000 monthly award.  High school seniors, current full-time undergrad or grad students may apply.  Scholarship is awarded monthly.  It begins and ends every calendar month.  For more information, visit http://sussle.org/scholarship


RESERVATION COUNTER

For students who demonstrate a strong aptitude for higher learning, have a drive to improve themselves, and a desire to improve society in general. Winners will be determined by the Reservation Counter Executive team each Spring and Fall semester. LendEDU SCHOLARSHIPS
LendEDU  is awarding  2, $2500 scholarships this fall.    To apply answer  this short question in 750 words or less:

Merritt Brook Scholarship
The Merritt Brook Scholarship was set up to serve graduating students with a minimum 2.5 GPA from accredited Idaho high schools in the Magic Valley, including Blaine, Camas, Cassia, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka and Twin Falls counties.   We seek applicants who have a clearly defined goal for college and plan to attend any accredited 2-4 year college or university in the United States.

Applicants should coordinate with their high school guidance counselors  to prepare an application package consisting of the following: Completed application form, signed and dated. A copy of your most recent high school transcript, report card, or college transcript. Essay on the topic described in the application form, and Letter(s) of recommendation. Yvonne and Dick Lierz Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: Enrolling in the upcoming year as a first or second year undergraduate student at any public Idaho or Nevada institution of higher learning;  Demonstrated volunteer involvement in at least one charitable activity benefiting the community;  While grades, activities, and recommendations are important, if an applicant's cumulative grade point is below 2.8 they will be seriously considered only if they are able to convince the Scholarship Selection Committee of a high desire to advance their education.   Non-renewable.

Additional Application Materials:  A 250-300 word essay about the importance of giving of yourself and your time to help others.  A 250-300 word essay about how you have demonstrated a unique contribution to your community.  Two letters of recommendation.  If your high school or college GPA is below a 2.8: A 100-150 word essay about your desire to advance your education.

 

Mike Crapo Math and Science Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: a) Resident of Idaho; b) Majoring in math or science (including but not limited to the area of engineering); c) Enrolling as a full-time student at the freshman level (first year) at a public or private four-year college or university in the state of Idaho; and d) Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above for all class work prior to the application.  Non-traditional students who have not been enrolled in a higher education institution for a period of three years shall be exempt from the cumulative grade point average requirement for the first semester (or quarter if the school is on a quarter basis) of the scholarship.  All recipients must maintain the stated grade point for the first semester (or quarter if the school is on the quarter system) in order to receive a subsequent disbursement.  Awarded primarily on the basis of a sincere desire for further education or training, and individual achievement as evidenced through the student’s academic record, participation in outside activities, leadership roles and/or work experience.  Renewable:  No.

 

Oakley Valley Arts Council
Aaron & Gloria Johnson Memorial Scholarship This $250.00 Scholarship is designed for the senior who has been active in the arts (such as; music, drama, art, etc.) in school as well as in the community. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be a graduating senior. Applications available in the counseling center.

SAFELINK
3 - $500 scholarships are being offered.  Applicants must be a high school senior or a high school graduate from the state of Idaho and have a 3.0 GPA.  Applications are online at www.safelinkinternet.com/scholarship-application.  


PMT FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is open to any graduating senior in the Magic Valley. Three $2000 scholarships will be awarded.  The major criteria are academic record, demonstrated achievement or leadership and responses on application.  Application is available online at www.pmt.org or in the counseling center.  Deadline is March 31, 2017.


Anne Veseth Memorial Scholarship Fund
For graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate college students attending or planning to attend a public or private, two- or four-year college or university in the state of Idaho and majoring or planning to major in Fire Ecology or Auto Mechanics. Or for any student who is also a current Wildland Firefighter majoring in any subject. Deadline is April 1, 2017.

Roger C. Sathre Memorial Scholarship Fund
Deadline: April 1, 2017  Enrolling as a full-time student in either a career or technical degree leading to something less than Baccalaureate degree or a Baccalaureate degree in secondary education in a career or technical area. 

Vivint Smart Home Scholarship
Vivint Smart Home is pleased to promote higher education and give back to the community with a $5,000 scholarship.  Must be a legal resident, enroll in college classes by Sept. 30th 2017.  Applicants are required to submit a video.  Deadline: April 1, 2017.  Apllications online at:  www.vivint.com/scholarship

Minidoka Soil & Water Conservation Scholarship
Applicant must be a senior planning to attend college in the fall with a major in Agriculture, Natural Resources, or related fields.  FFA member for one full year. The deadline is April 4, 2017. The award amount (2) is $500 Applications are available in the counseling center.

Cassia Festival of Trees Scholarship
Cassia is offering a $500 scholarship to graduates from Cassia and Minidoka counties.  Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, complete resume and attach a photo that will not be returned and must enroll full time in a health care field in college.  Applications are available in the counseling center. Deadline: April 10, 2017.



RUPERT KIWANIS
Two $1000 and two $500 scholarships will be awarded.  These scholarships are available to Minico graduates provided they are entering as a first year student or a student currently enrolled as a full time college student.  Applicant must have attended Minico for at least one year.  Applications are available in the counseling center.  Deadline is April 11, 2017.


United Electric CO-OP Scholarship
If your parent or guardian receives power from United Electric you are eligble to apply for this scholarship. The deadline for this scholarship is: April 14, 2017. Four awards will be given in the amount of $500. Applications are available in the counseling center.  


Dennis James Memorial Scholarship
The recipient of this scholarship must receive a diploma from a Cassia or Minidoka County High School by June 2017.  Must be a U.S. Citizen, plan to enroll in an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S. for 2017-2018 school year, and minimum of a 2.8 GPA. The application must be postmarked by April 14th 2017. The award amount is $1,000.  Applications available in the counseling center. 

WENDELL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP
(Magic Valley Dairy Days) Scholarships will be awarded to Magic Valley students attending an Idaho college, university, or vocational school.  Applications are available in the counseling center.  Deadline is April 15, 2017

GOODING BASQUE ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA.  Applicant does not need to be of Basque decent.  Application will include a resume, short essay on knowledge of the Basque culture, and two recommendation letters.  Applications are available in the counseling center.  Deadline is April 15, 2017.  

MINIDOKA COUNTY GRAIN PRODUCERS ASSOCIATION
This scholarship is offered to seniors in Minidoka County who are planning a career in agriculture. Students enrolling in either academic or vocational programs will be considered, including production agriculture, agri-business, agricultural engineering or any other field related to agriculture.  The award is based on need, achievement record, personal qualifications, and other leadership activities.  Applications are available in the counseling center.  Deadline is April 17, 2017.


L.A.D.Y
Senior girls a $300 award is offered by Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. Delta Eta Chapter at U of I seeks to encourage the educational advancement of determined young ladies who will be enrolling in post-secondary education at an accredited Idaho University.  Applications are available in the counseling center. Deadline is April 19, 2017.


Minidoka Bowman Scholarship
Deadline:  April 22, 2017 Guidelines:  Transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 to apply. Applicant must plan to attend the school of choice full time (12 credits or more.)

MINIDOKA COUNTY BEET GROWERS
A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior or current college student.   Applicants must plan to major in a field that promotes or is beneficial to agriculture.  Applications are available in the counseling center or online at http://extension.uidaho.edu/minidoka/category/news/.  Deadline is April 28, 2017.


THE DRAGONFLY HOPE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Dragonfly Hope Foundation was established in memory of Andrea Hall.  Andrea held a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.  The purpose of The Dragonfly Hope Foundation is to continue the work that Andrea loved, and was so passionate about; helping others to help themselves.  Applications are available in the counseling center.  Deadline is April 30, 2017.


Sherri Lynn Crumley
A $1000 scholarship is available to students from St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Scholarship will be awarded to music students from Eastern Idaho who plan on obtaining a Music or Music Education degree from U of I.  Applications are available in the counseling center.  Deadline: May 1, 2017.

RACINE OLSON INJURY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is open to high school seniors in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington who plan on either attending a 4-year college or 2-year community college. Applicants must have either been a victim of a personal injury accident or has a parent(s) or guardian(s) who has been a victim of a personal injury accident.

The Scholarship is open nationwide to those who will be attending college fall semester of 2017. Special consideration will be given to an undergraduate who is interested in pursuing a career in Law, but anyone meeting the requirements & can demonstrate an interested in pursuing a career in law will be considered. Deadline: May 3, 2017

Nursing School Almanac Scholarship

Nursing Schools Almanac has just launched its third annual Aspiring Nurse Scholarship. Our website will award a $1,000 scholarship to an aspiring nurse who best demonstrates:
