Merit aid is awarded to students with a broad range of GPAs. Students with a 2.0 GPA or higher often qualify. There are merit aid scholarships for students based on their interests, their intended majors, leadership and community service. SELECTIVE SERVICE All young men 18 years old need to register for Selective Service. Go online, at www.sss.gov and take of it. It’s easy, and once you’ve done it, it’s one less thing on your mind.
NAVAL RESERVE OFFICERS TRAINING CORPS (NROTC) A scholarship program that offers students the opportunity to earn their degree and receive valuable leadership and management skills while enjoying the benefits of an exciting career. GENESES MIGRANT CENTER

BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY CAMP
Applicant must have participated within the last 24 months as a seasonal or migrant farm worker participated in a Chapter I Migrant education Program or be eligible to participate. Applicant must also have a high school diploma or GED, be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident of the U.S. and must desire a four-year academic degree or a two-year vocational-technical degree in preparation for a four-year academic or technical degree.
THE HAIR ACADEMY Paul Mitchell partner school is offering scholarships for their academy in Rexburg. Applications are in the counseling center. Scholarship is based on first come first served.
ALERT MAGAZINE
$500 Scholarship for seniors who have a GPA of 2.5 or better and are planning on attending a college after graduation. Write an essay (650 - 800 words, double spaced) about a personal encounter you or someone you know has had with drug and/or alcohol abuse, how it was dealt with, what you learned from it, and what was right or wrong (in your opinion) about the way the incident or problem was handled. No application is required. See details in the counseling center.
BOISE STATE HONORS COLLEGE
Exploring Honors is open to high school students who will be in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in fall of 2013. They must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and submit an essay. Camp will be held July 15-19, 2013. WENDELL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP
( Magic Valley Dairy Days) Scholarships will be awarded to Magic Valley students attending an Idaho college, university, or vocational school. Applications are available in the counseling center. Deadline is April 30, 2013.
MINIDOKA COUNTY BEET GROWERS
A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior or current college student. Applicants must plan to major in a field that promotes or is beneficial to agriculture. Applications are available in the counseling center. Deadline is April 30, 2013.
FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCES SCHOLARSHIP
Applicant should demonstrate academic achievement, leadership potential in extra-curricular activities, and personal commitment and motivation to the profession. Scholarship is open to high school seniors, transfer students, or continuing Idaho State University students. Applicant must declare a major in Family and Consumer Sciences, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and register as a full time student. Applications are available in the counseling center. Deadline is May 1, 2013.
SABER SCHOLARSHIP
This is a full tuition scholarship to a public post-secondary school in Idaho. The award is in recognition of academic and vocational achievement, demonstrated leadership in school, community or other service activities. Applicants need to have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, live in Idaho, be of Hispanic/Latino descent, and demonstrate leadership in school, community and /or other service organizations. Applications are available in the counseling center or online at www.idaholsf.org. Deadline is May 1, 2013.
MINIDOKA COUNTY BASQUE ASSOCIATION
Two $500.00 scholarships will be awarded. Applicants do not need to be of the Basque culture. Applications are available in the counseling center. Return completed application to Mrs. Konrad, counseling center. Deadline is May 3, 2013.

THE ROUCH FOUNDATION
This scholarship is for students who are orphaned, poor, or under privileged and need financial assistance. Evaluation will include financial need, scholastic ability, and career goals. Applications are available in the counseling center. Deadline is May 15, 2013.
B. DAVIS SCHOLARSHIP
BIG SUN SCHOLARSHIP
The successful applicant will be a high school senior currently involved in some sport at their school or in their community. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Application requirements can be found online at http://www.bigsunathletics.com. BENGAL CREEK STUDENT HOUSING SCHOLARSHIP
Applicant must be a full time student and have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA. Preference is given to applicants who have engaged in activities which demonstrate their abilities of leadership through community service, employment and or student organizations. BENGAL CREEK COMMUNITY ASSISTANT PROGRAM
Applicants selected will receive a housing contract for a school year. Student Community Assistants assist management and staff by promoting the property. An assistant must first be admitted to Idaho State University or other technical institutions. Applicant should possess a social personality, ability to communicate clearly, efficient computer skills for data entry, and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Applications are available in the counseling center.
AES ENGINEERS
A $500 scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted. Application can be found online at http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm. Deadline is October 4, 2013.
NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
