During the month of November our character trait is citizenship. We are considered citizens of our community and of our school at West Minico. November is also a month to be thankful for family friends and our school community.
Check out our "Thankful Turkey" in the commons. It shows we have a lot to be thankful for in our lives. We hope that all of our students tell the ones close to them how thankful they are to have them in their lives. Take time to express how much you are thankful for each of your family members and what they do for you. Enjoy the time with family and friends during this Thanksgiving break there is no school Thursday or Friday and we'll see everyone back on Monday.
As teachers and staff at West Minico we are very thankful for all of our students and the people we work with daily. West Minico is the best!

Congratulations to all students receiving their gold, silver, or white cards. Our students of the trimester will be announced during the assembly and drawings will be held for our "Caught you Reading" program. Renaissance stickers allow students to receive discounts at area businesses. We appreciate our local merchants for supporting this program. We appreciate Mrs. Smith and the staff who help her to have our Renaissance assemblies for our students.
Eighth grade teaching team would like to honor Stetson Jensen and Paizley Edwards as their students of the week. We appreciate them being excellent role models and setting a great example for others to follow.
Our Warrior wrestlers had a very successful meet last night. Keep up the good work grapplers.

The beginning of a new trimester is a great time to set new academic goals. Don't make the same mistake, by doing the same thing you've always done. To improve you must make changes to what you have done in the past or you will get the same thing you have always gotten.
All activities and school announcements are on the West Minico School website at all times and are updated daily, so check it out if you ever have any questions about school activities. School closure information will also be updated as soon as it is received on our school website.
The quote for the week is: "You have not lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you."
MAKE IT A GREAT DAY THE CHOICE IS YOURS!
We want all of our students to get caught reading and encourage students to have their reading book in every class so that if they finish their work they will be able to read. All students are expected to turn in their reading logs.

To be good citizens is to contribute back to our community. The Mini-Cassia Christmas Council was very thankful to receive over 2,200 cans from West Minico. This food will feed many families over the holiday season. A special thank you to John Inouye, Morgan Walton, Sierra Baker, and Analisa Carter for loading all the cans and then unloading them at the Mini-Cassia Christmas Council again on their day out of school. Mrs. Dietz was truly thankful for their dedication to this worthy cause.
