2016-2017 Senior Projects
Beginning with the graduates of 2013, a Senior Project will be required for graduation. There is a Senior Project Packet available as a link on this (MHS) website.
During their senior year, students complete a Senior Project that provides them with the opportunity to use their foundational academic skills and content knowledge to gain new, deeper levels of understanding.
The project must challenge the student and needs to be of significant value to the student, the school, and the community. This self-directed learning experience involves thinking analytically, logically, and creatively. Integrating experience and knowledge to form reasoned judgments and solve problems will help direct future career and educational opportunities.
The student will follow the timeline in order to be prepared to present the Senior Project.
The Senior Project involves a proposal, a research paper, a project, a portfolio, and a presentation.
The Senior Projects will be presented to a panel in the spring of the student’s senior year.If you have questions, please read the Senior Project Packet. If, after reading the packet, you still have questions, please contact a member of the Project committee.
