MLA Citations
To avoid plagiarism, students should always cite materials and ideas not of their own. At Minico High School , the MLA citation format is used unless otherwise specified by a teacher. Below, you will find the formats for listing sources on a works cited page. Please be aware that works cited pages should be double-spaced and in alphabetical order according to the author’s last name or the title of the work.
For most works, the in-text citation will consist of the authors’ last name(s) and the page number of the cited material. If you use two or more selections by the same author, you must also include the title of the work. Some works do not have authors; they will be cited by their titles. Exceptions to these rules are listed after the works cited format.
