Mrs. Larios

My name is Maricela Larios and I am from Jalisco, Mexico. I have an associates from CSI and a bachelor’s from ISU. I have a nine-year-old boy, Omar, and a three-year-old daughter, Alejandra. My children love their grandparents. I love to cook and bake. I also enjoy dancing. One thing that I especially love is to spend time with all of my "Family."

The reason I decided to be a teacher was because of my ESL teacher, Tina Hernandez, she was a great role model. The best part of teaching for me is the students: they are fun, loveable, and kind.

We LOVE sports! We spend a lot of time watching our children play sports. We also love to spend as much time as possible playing in Island Park, ID.

I love to teach! I enjoy watching my students learn new things. It is wonderful watching my students come to school knowing very little and leaving at the end of the year reading!

Kayla Bruns

Kayla is our new kindergarten teacher. She will have a regular kindergarten session in the morning and will teach Kinder Kamp in the afternoon. Some of the staff may have known Kayla as Kayla McNeel last spring but now she is Kayla Bruns because she married Colton Bruns just this past July. They honeymooned at the Red Woods and Lake Tahoe where she experienced parasailing for the first time. They had a wonderful experience. Kayla graduated from Lewis & Clark State College with a degree in Elementary Ed & an endorsement in literacy.

Mrs. Van Every

My name is Pam VanEvery, I am from Paul, Idaho. I have attended CSI, ISU, and Grand Canyon University.  I have six children, five girls and the rest are boys! I have nine grandchildren, six are boys and the rest are girls. I enjoy spending time with family, working on crafts and scrapbooks, camping, holding babies, working outside with flowers and dirt, and doing ranch work.

I wanted to become a teacher because I love helping kids discover that learning is fun. Watching the little ones master a concept is like watching a butterfly come out of its cocoon… breathtaking!!
