Miss Davidson

My name is Britney Davidson. I graduated from BYU-Idaho with a degree in Elementary Education. I am the oldest of four kids who are almost all out the house. I am the mother of a one-year-old kitty, Agnes. This is my second year teaching at Paul. I love seeing the kids grow throughout the year. My favorite was a child who didn’t like reading at all, turn into a reading-aholic and would start getting in trouble for reading instead of paying attention in class.

I have a blended family of 10 children and lots and lots of grandchildren; some go to Paul Elementary. I love to sing, fuse glass, and going to the movies with grandchildren. I have always wanted to be a teacher; the best part of teaching for me is the kids.

CJ (Catherine) Hansen is our new first grade teacher at Paul Elementary. She hails from Helena, Montana and has three younger sisters and her, husband Brandon is a SpEd. paraprofessional at Minico HS. He hopes to get a history teacher position next at Minico. CJ graduated from the University of Western Montana with a degree in Elementary Education. She did her student teaching in Canada so she knows what it is like to go out to recess in below zero conditions. CJ shared her advice on the cold temperatures, “Don’t move to northern Montana unless you like cold temperatures. And the same is true for Canada.” CJ likes the more moderate temperatures here in southern Idaho but she really misses the mountains of Montana. One of her favorite hobbies is reading. She loves all kinds of books but especially, children’s books, science fiction, mysteries, and romances. Puzzles are also a favorite pastime for CJ. She has a dog-named Roxie that is 8 months old. She likes all kinds of food but especially anything sweet! Pizza and Chicken Alfredo are also favorites. Challenges right now are managing a classroom of 25 busy first graders and how to fit everything in the day. Positives are: A great staff to work with and it’s been fun to get to know the kids in her classroom!

We’re glad you came to Southern Idaho CJ and hope you’ll have a great year!
