Important Transportation Information for Students Living Within the Red Boundary in Heyburn,

Families of students who live within the red boundary should be aware of updated transportation arrangements for the upcoming school year.

Minico High School students who reside within the red boundary will use one of two designated bus stops:

18th St & O St — Bus 143
20th St & O St — Bus 181

Buses are expected to arrive at these stops shortly after 7:20 AM. In the afternoon, students will be dropped off at the same two locations. Bus stop times and transportation details may be refined as routes are finalized.

Students attending Mt. Harrison High School or Minidoka Junior High School who live within the red boundary will walk to school.

Please review the accompanying map to determine which transportation arrangement applies to your student.

🍎 Great news for Minidoka families!

Minidoka County Joint School District will participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). During the 2026–2027 school year, every enrolled student at participating district schools may receive one breakfast and one lunch each school day at no cost, regardless of household income.

Families will no longer need to complete annual free and reduced-price meal applications. Please review the attached information for participating schools, second-meal pricing, previous meal balances, and other important details.

Healthy meals help students arrive ready to learn, grow, and succeed!

🏗️ Summer Construction Update – Mt. Harrison High School Exciting improvements are underway at Mt. Harrison High School as we continue investing in safer, more comfortable, and more energy-efficient learning spaces. Current work includes: ✅ Rebuilding exterior walls ✅ Adding R-22 insulation to replace walls that previously had very little insulation ✅ Reframing and reducing window openings ✅ Installing new energy-efficient, double-pane Low-E windows to replace the original large single-pane windows These upgrades will improve year-round comfort, increase energy efficiency, and help reduce heating and cooling costs while extending the life of the building. Progress is happening at Mt. Harrison! Walls have been removed, and today crews are framing for the new wall and preparing for replacement windows. We are excited to see this project moving forward and can’t wait to share more updates as the space continues to take shape!

🚧 Exciting things are happening at Mt. Harrison Jr./Sr. High School! 🎉 Work officially began this morning on our renovation project, and we couldn’t be more excited to see these improvements take shape! This project includes: 🔹 Removal of the original 1960s exterior metal sunshades 🔹 Removal of interior walls to improve learning spaces 🔹 Replacement of the building’s original single-pane windows 🔹 New interior millwork 🔹 Increased energy efficiency through updated window design 🔹 Enhanced security with upgraded window glazing 🔹 New flooring in classrooms where needed These updates will create a safer, more energy-efficient, and more comfortable learning environment for our students and staff while preserving and improving this important school facility. 🎉 We’re excited to celebrate the hard work and success of our Minidoka School District students and staff!
Minico High School surpassed Idaho state averages in ELA and Math, and schools across our district showed impressive score improvements. We are so proud of the dedication, effort, and achievement happening in our schools.

Summer meals are back! ☀️🍎
Minidoka County School District’s SUN Meals To-Go program will provide 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches each week for children.
Curbside pickup will be available Tuesdays, June 9 through August 4, at three locations:
Mt. Harrison High School, West Minico Middle School, and Rupert Elementary.
Pickup times include morning, mid-day, and evening options.

Weekly ticket reservations open every Wednesday, and online orders close Sundays at 6:00 PM.

In order to prepare for device collection and to take care of other year end matters, the tech department is going to cut off device repairs on Thursday, May 14th. If students need a laptop repaired after May 14th, they will need to hold on to it and turn it into the repair line at device collection. Please announce this date to students.
