Boise State Literacy Lab Tutoring Available
Tutors are undergraduate students in pursuit of obtaining their elementary teaching credential upon graduation.
Tutoring takes place from 4:30pm-5:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays via Zoom.
Any students in grades K-12 can receive tutoring, and the cost is $175 per child.
We also offer payment plans and some scholarships. Please let us know if you have families that would like to participate and require scholarship or payment plan assistance.
At the beginning of the semester, tutors conduct literacy assessments to determine learning goals for the semester.
Then they plan lessons in reading, writing, and word study to support their student(s) with working toward their goals.
At the end of the semester, they write a report to share with the parents about the assessments, the tutoring sessions, and any progress made by the child throughout tutoring.
