
Flu Mist for Students
Flu Mist Info: South Central Public Health will be at your child's school on Oct. 7th or 8th (please refer to the schedule below) to offer the flu mist to students and the flu shot to staff. It is completely optional. If you want your student to receive the flu mist, you must fill out and send the parent consent form with them that day complete with signature and insurance info (if applicable). You may obtain this form from the office, or you scan the QR code and print it at home. Please contact the Heyburn SCPHD office for questions re: cost for the flu vaccine at 208-678-8221

The Student Flu Mist Clinic will be at Rupert Elementary, Monday October 7th from 1:20-3:30 if you would like your child to receive the flu mist. The consent form will be going home with your student this week. Only children returning their signed paperwork will receive the flu mist. If you have a morning kindergarten student and you would like them to receive the flu mist, bring them to the school between 1:20 and 3:30 or see your primary doctor to receive it.

Please join us for our first annual Minico event introducing our graduating class and our future graduates Friday, October 18th at the Minico High School football field. Our Minico Senior students and Minidoka Kindergarten students are invited to participate in a pre-game activity where Kindergarten students will walk across the field to meet our graduating Seniors. Please arrive by 6:10 pm. Kindergarteners will be on the South end of the field behind the goal posts, Seniors will be on the north end. Students will meet in the middle at the Minico M at 6:20 - pictures will be taken and all students will be released! Minico students, and advisors will help with Kindergarten students. Kindergarten parents can be on the track, ready to gather up their littles from the field afterward. The field must be cleared by 6:35. We are looking forward to a fun community night and a new Minico tradition!

Join us for Back to School Night, Wednesday, August 14th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Bring your supplies and come meet your teacher.


Come get registered for school! On site registration for Acequia Elementary, Rupert Elementary, and East Minico Middle School will be held August 5th, 8:30am - 2:30pm.


Just a reminder that registration is open online at www.minidokaschools.org. If you'd like to register in person, we will be at East Minico on August 5th and West Mincio on August 6th from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm.


For the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, it was decided the Minidoka County School District will only have half-day kindergarten. The hours will be 7:45 - 11:00 a.m. for the morning session and 11:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. for the afternoon session. Please note that transportation will only be provided for a.m. session to school. Parents will be responsible to pick up their student. For the p.m. session, students will be provided transportation home. Parents will be responsible to get their student to school.


South Central Public Health is providing a Back to School Vaccine Clinic on Monday, August 5th at East Minico from 9am-1pm and Tuesday, August 6th at West Minico from 9am-1pm. Students need vaccinations before Kindergarten, 7th grade, and 12th grade. Please bring your vaccination and insurance cards. Without insurance, the price of each vaccine is $20.
