West Minico Football versus East Minico
Did you know that missing just 2 days of school each month adds up to nearly 18 days a year? That’s almost a full month of learning lost. 📉 At West Minico, our goal is for students to maintain at least 90% attendance each semester—no more than 7 absences per semester or 4 per quarter. When students are here every day, they stay on track with their learning, build stronger connections with teachers and peers, and set themselves up for success. Thank you for helping us make sure every Warrior is in class—because every day counts! 💙💛

Back to School Night August 21, 2025
Welcome back to school! We are excited to see everyone this morning. Please remember that the first few days of school brings increased traffic through all of our schools. Please use caution and a lot of patience. We need all parents/cars to keep moving. If you are going to park and get out of your car, please go to the north end of the parking lot to park. Also remember school doesn’t start until 7:45, so please don't drop your students off before 7:20 (we prefer 7:30). Review the traffic flow for West Minico below.

When entering the lane to West Minico, you will see three lanes of traffic:
Middle Lane (Bus Lane) – Keep this lane clear at all times. It is for buses to travel to the back of the building. Please do not block the area where buses pass through.
Outside Lanes (Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up) – All parent vehicles should be in the two outside lanes.
At the front of the school, there are also three lanes:
Lane Closest to the Building – For drop-off/pick-up only. Students should exit on the sidewalk side and walk directly to the building. Please do not park in this lane so traffic can keep moving.
Far Outside Lane – For drop-off/pick-up only. Students dropped here must walk to the crosswalk in front of the building to cross safely.
Middle Lane – This is a moving lane only. Do not stop, drop off, or pick up students in this lane—traffic must keep moving.
Alternate Option: You may drive through the front and park on the north end of the building. Your child can meet you there, which may help avoid congestion at the main entrance.

Your cooperation helps us keep students and families safe and traffic moving smoothly. Thank you for following this process!

🚨 PARENTS – IMPORTANT BUS REMINDER! 🚨
❗ Do NOT send your child on the bus without knowing their home address — or having it written down and placed in their backpack.
🚌 If we don’t know where they live, we can’t get them home safely.
Thank you for helping us keep every student safe and get them home on time! 💛
