Our 8th graders had the chance to experience a dose of “real life” at Reality Town a few week ago! 💼💵 From budgeting to understanding just how far a paycheck goes, students learned valuable lessons about earning, spending, and the true cost of adulting. A big thank you to Mrs. Vandever from East Minico for coordinating this event for both East and West Minico, and to the many amazing volunteers who made this experience possible. Our FACS students put their sewing skills to work for a great cause! 🧵💙 Using quilt tops donated by the Humanitarian Center, students stitched the pieces together and created beautiful quilt tops of their own. Next stop: back to the Humanitarian Center, where the quilts will be finished and shared with those in need. Well… they did it. I’m officially stuck to the wall—thanks to 2,100 feet (that’s 700 yards!) of duct tape earned by our incredible students! Every piece of tape represented effort: showing up for all test days, meeting growth goals, and scoring proficient or advanced. These Warriors didn’t just rise to the challenge—they wrapped it up!
