Your Role as a Parent

🏀✨ Big news for Warrior Nation! ✨🏀
We are thrilled to unveil our brand-new scoreboard in the gym! This exciting addition was made possible thanks to the generosity of PMT, Spudnik, Butte Irrigation, and our PTO. Your support makes a huge difference for our athletes, students, and fans. 💙💛

If you’d like to help support athletics at West Minico, donations are now being accepted for our upcoming Haunted Hustle fundraiser. All contributions for the Haunted Hustle go directly to our athletic programs. Every contribution helps us continue building opportunities for our Warriors!

Back to School Night August 21, 2025
Welcome back to school! We are excited to see everyone this morning. Please remember that the first few days of school brings increased traffic through all of our schools. Please use caution and a lot of patience. We need all parents/cars to keep moving. If you are going to park and get out of your car, please go to the north end of the parking lot to park. Also remember school doesn’t start until 7:45, so please don't drop your students off before 7:20 (we prefer 7:30). Review the traffic flow for West Minico below.

When entering the lane to West Minico, you will see three lanes of traffic:
Middle Lane (Bus Lane) – Keep this lane clear at all times. It is for buses to travel to the back of the building. Please do not block the area where buses pass through.
Outside Lanes (Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up) – All parent vehicles should be in the two outside lanes.
At the front of the school, there are also three lanes:
Lane Closest to the Building – For drop-off/pick-up only. Students should exit on the sidewalk side and walk directly to the building. Please do not park in this lane so traffic can keep moving.
Far Outside Lane – For drop-off/pick-up only. Students dropped here must walk to the crosswalk in front of the building to cross safely.
Middle Lane – This is a moving lane only. Do not stop, drop off, or pick up students in this lane—traffic must keep moving.
Alternate Option: You may drive through the front and park on the north end of the building. Your child can meet you there, which may help avoid congestion at the main entrance.

Your cooperation helps us keep students and families safe and traffic moving smoothly. Thank you for following this process!

🚨 PARENTS – IMPORTANT BUS REMINDER! 🚨
❗ Do NOT send your child on the bus without knowing their home address — or having it written down and placed in their backpack.
🚌 If we don’t know where they live, we can’t get them home safely.
Thank you for helping us keep every student safe and get them home on time! 💛

First Day of School Monday, August 18

We are excited to see our 6th graders for orientation tomorrow. Please review the traffic pattern for West Minico. Following this helps us keep students (and parents) safe. We won't pretend that it doesn't get congested, but if we keep traffic flowing, we are able to accommodate everyone. Please be respectful and polite to everyone coming through.
