Building this simple, powerful habit helps our little eagles start each day on a positive note—a reminder that gratitude can brighten your outlook, no matter how young or old you are. ✨

Our third graders got in on the Election Day fun by casting their very own ballots — Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies vs. Oreos! After careful voting and counting, the winner was… Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies! 🍪

Today is Election Day across the country — don’t forget to cast your vote too! Every vote counts (even when it’s about cookies!). 🗳️🇺🇸

Today, your child is bringing home a take home lanyard letting you know about a safe and easy way for our school to raise funds for essential tools our students and teachers need to succeed.

The Reading for Education fundraiser is 100% online so there is NO face-to-face selling, handling money, or delivering products. Your participation will take less than 12 minutes, and there are exciting prizes to make it fun for the students.

Here is all you need to do to participate:
1. Go to https://www.rfe.net/sid.t?0000173416 to sign up.
2. Send form emails inviting family, friends and co-workers to support your child.
3. Return the Lanyard with the Student Prize Code to school for your child to get their fun participation prize.

Be sure to ask your child for the take home lanyard tonight. Your participation will make a difference for our school and teachers!

Action art at its finest! 🎨 Our students explored the wild and wonderful world of Jackson Pollock, creating masterpieces full of motion, color, and creativity. Huge thanks to Mrs. Turner for this fun organized chaos in the art room! 🖌️✨

Costumes on point! Our Eagles showed up with all the creativity and Halloween spirit. Here’s just a peek at some of the fun — it truly made for a spooktacular day at school!

House parties galore! Spooky fun filled every corner of the school with treats, games, and all the Halloween smiles. 🎃

Our staff had a blast playing Pumpkin in My Pocket today and let’s just say the competition was fierce! By the end of the day, these two ladies ended up with almost all the pumpkins! Congrats to Hanna Wilcox & Tiann Robbins — pumpkin champions of the day! 🎃

🎃 Halloween Parade Information 👻
Our Halloween Parade will be short and sweet — the perfect way to wrap up a fun day! The parade will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m.

👣 Route & Viewing:
Students will start the parade inside the building so their classmates can watch, then head out the north gate and walk down to the drop-off area.
Families and friends are welcome to line up along the sidewalk in front of the school to cheer on our little eagles! 🦅

A Few Notes:
We plan to be outside unless the weather changes.
Due to the large turnout, we ask that all visitors remain outside to help us maintain student safety.
The parade will also be streamed live on Instagram for anyone who’d like to watch online!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We can’t wait to see all the creative costumes and smiling faces!

Don’t Let Drugs Mix You Up! There were a whole lot of mixed-up outfits, socks, and smiles — and we loved every bit of it yesterday!

🎃 Halloween Fun This Thursday! 👻
Students may wear costumes to school on Thursday, October 30, as long as they can comfortably sit and participate in class. Please remember:
🚫 No weapons
🚫 No full-face coverings or masks
🚫 No full face paint
🚫 No depictions of blood or violence

If a costume is not school-appropriate, students will be asked to change.

🕸️ Schedule Reminder:
This year, parties will be in the morning and the parade will begin at 2:00 p.m.
Parties will take place in Houses, not classrooms — a fun change we can’t wait to celebrate together! (Kindergarten Update: AM Kinder students will join in the Halloween parties, while PM Kinder students will participate in the parade!

This right here is what our House System is all about — our “big” kids helping the younger ones, modeling leadership, kindness, and teamwork. This sweet moment was captured as morning houses learned each other’s chants and cheers during Sunrise Smiles. Together, we rise! 🦅✨

Before our lockdown drill began today, our 5th graders were in the middle of a dodgeball game and a few of our local officers decided to jump in on the fun! How grateful we are to have law enforcement who not only protect us but also take the time to connect with our students. It was such a feel-good moment—just a reminder that we can all be kids at heart sometimes. ❤️ Thank you to our officers for your support, your presence, and your continued commitment to keeping our schools safe.

Pumpkin patch perfection! 🍂 Our Kinder–2nd graders spent the day at the beautiful Adams Farm picking pumpkins of every size and color, laughing with friends, and making the best fall memories. For many, it was their first pumpkin patch experience — and one they’ll never forget! A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Acequia PTO for making this trip possible and to the Adams family for opening their farm and giving our students such a special day. 🧡

Today was extra special because I had an assistant principal for the day! Mila Braun helped me check a handful of things off my to-do list — lunch duties, two trips to the pumpkin patch, donut deliveries, and even answer a few calls to classrooms for help. 🍩🎃 She also got a sneak peek at something exciting coming soon... 👀 Having an extra set of hands on a busy day was just what I needed!

Remie earned a free staycation night, Mila will get to be Principal for the Day, and Enzo will ride a fire truck to school for the second year in a row! 🚒✨
