On August 18, 2025, we opened our doors for another school year. Today, on May 28, 2026, we close this chapter with hearts full of memories, growth, challenges, laughter, and pride.
This year, championship games were won, assignments were completed, and grades of A, B, C, and D were earned. Elementary students visited to listen to stories our students wrote. Too many hats were collected, and we renewed our commitment to keeping our “hands off.” We walked a lot of miles around the school during wellness breaks, spotted ghosts during Halloween season, and maybe argued a little during cornhole tournaments.
A weight room was transformed, and a commitment to wellness began. Tutoring was given, projects were completed, and students linked together their accomplishments as they showed growth on their ISATs. Waldo seemed to appear everywhere in the building, teachers were tattooed, and smiles and laughter echoed through classrooms, hallways, and corners of the school.
There were also mistakes made and poor choices at times — because learning and growing is not just academic. It is becoming. It is figuring out who you are and who you want to be.
At West Minico, we believe a warrior is someone who shows courage, resilience, kindness, responsibility, and strength through challenges. This year, our Warriors were strengthened.
Thank you for trusting us with your children each day. They have challenged us, inspired us, made us laugh, and helped us grow into better warriors ourselves.
Have a safe and wonderful summer, Warriors. ☀️💙💛

If you have questions regarding failed grades, promotion status, or FA (Failure to Attend), please contact our school counselor, Mrs. Reed.

As we enjoy time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we pause in gratitude for the sacrifices made to protect our freedoms. Thank you to all who have served and to the families who have sacrificed alongside them.
