We are so excited to celebrate FOUR of our 3rd graders who were selected as winners in the Fire Safety Drawing Contest!

Our 4th graders explored force and motion by designing and testing their very own roller coasters! They put science into action as they experimented with speed, gravity, and movement. We love seeing learning come to life at Acequia! 🦅

Thanks to the Minico Ag Education students, our Eagles had the chance to take their learning outside the classroom and get up close with a pretty special four-legged visitor.
We love opportunities like this that bring learning to life—and judging by the smiles, we think our 2nd graders would agree!

Our 1st and 2nd graders had a special visit today for their Fire Safety Lesson! Students learned important ways to stay safe, what to do in an emergency, and even got an up-close look at some of the equipment our firefighters use.
We are so grateful for our local Fire Department and the time they take to teach our Eagles! Thank you for all you do to keep us safe—not only here at school, but in our homes and throughout our community. 🚒👨🚒👩🚒🔥

They teach. They encourage. They celebrate the little wins. They show up on the hard days. They love kids fiercely, and they make sure every child who walks through our doors knows they have a place here.

Our third graders had another one of our favorite field trip days—Ag Expo at Minico!
The Minico FFA puts together such a wonderful experience for our students each year. Our third graders had the opportunity to learn more about agriculture through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and experiences.
Ag Expo is always a highlight of third grade and one of those core elementary school memories we hope our students remember for years to come.

Our Eagles had so much fun celebrating International Dot Day this past month! Inspired by the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, Dot Day is all about creativity, courage, and encouraging kids to “make their mark” on the world.
Mrs. Turner planned so many fun activities throughout the week—from PE to the art room—and we even filled the school with POLKA DOTS! Can you spot them all?

Flu Vaccine Info for students and staff: South Central Public Health will be at your child's school on Oct. 5th or 6th to offer the flu mist to students and the flu shot to staff (see schedule below). It is completely optional. If you want your student to receive the flu mist, you must fill out the consent form and send it with them that day complete with guardian signature and insurance info (if applicable). You may obtain the form from your child's school office (some schools will send one home), this link SCPHD Flu Mist Forms, or you can scan the QR code.
