Mrs. Brittany Rigby was nominated as our Teacher of the Year—and it comes as no surprise. Her calm demeanor, kind heart, and constant encouragement make her someone everyone can count on. She is always there when you need her, ready with a compliment or simply a listening ear. Brittany truly makes a difference in the lives of both students and staff each and every day.
Miss Miriam Stocker was nominated as our Classified Staff of the Year. We have been so fortunate to have her at Acequia for a handful of years. Miriam brings a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine love for our students. She always has a smile on her face, is willing to jump in wherever needed, and builds meaningful relationships with the kids she serves.
These two ladies represent what Acequia is all about. We are incredibly lucky to have them as part of our team.

Through it all, one thing stood out... sportsmanship. Win or lose, our students showed what it means to compete with heart, support one another, and keep going.
And yes… there may or may not have been a few tears along the way—but that just shows how much they cared.
In the end, it was all about having fun, building character, and making memories. Way to go, everyone! 🏀

This month, our 4th graders turned Acequia Elementary into a hub of discovery, creativity, and curiosity! From growing terrariums to experimenting with slime and everything in between, students explored the world of science in hands-on, exciting ways.
They asked big questions, tested their ideas, and showcased their learning with confidence. We saw future scientists, engineers, and problem-solvers in action!
We are so proud of the effort, creativity, and enthusiasm our 4th graders put into their projects. Way to go, scientists! 🌱✨
