A huge thank you to Fizz Farm for helping us kick things off in a fun way. Our message to students was simple: CHEERS to doing your best—that’s what counts!

Keep supporting your child at home with good sleep, healthy meals, and encouragement. We are proud of the hard work happening in every classroom!

IRI testing begins May 4th for students K-3. Let’s finish strong, Acequia!

What an incredible day, March 5th was at Acequia Elementary! This year’s Read-A-Thon was truly one to remember. Thanks to our amazing parents and volunteers, our school was transformed into a learning adventure across the country. Students had the opportunity to “travel” to Kentucky, Utah, Hawaii, Texas, and Alaska—all while engaging in meaningful reading experiences.

Each stop along the way brought something unique and exciting. From derby races in Kentucky, to pineapple taste testing in Hawaii, to the most incredible igloo and northern lights display in Alaska—it was all so thoughtfully planned. Students explored outdoor adventures in southern Utah and enjoyed rich western stories that brought learning to life in such a fun and memorable way.

It was a day full of joy, creativity, and connection—one that truly highlights the power of our school community.

Thank you to everyone who supported and helped make this day possible. We are so grateful for you and couldn’t have done it without you.

Today our school turned into a living library. 📚✨

From Harry Potter to Cat in the Hat and everything in between, our students reminded us that stories spark imagination, confidence, and joy. At Acequia, we don’t just read books… we become them.
